Indy Eleven Captain Greg Janicki to Speak at MPSC
Greg Janicki, a product of Michigan State University, has deep roots to soccer in the Midwest. After graduating from Anchor Bay High School and completing four years at Michigan State University, he signed his first pro contract with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in 2008.
Janicki has since climbed the North American professional soccer ladder with stops in the MLS, NASL and USL.
Currently Janicki is the captain of the NASL’s Indy Eleven where he serves as a mainstay in their back-line. Janicki has been instrumental in the Indy Eleven’s turnaround season in 2016, which saw them finish the regular season campaign in 2nd place overall. This week they are preparing for their first play-off match vs FC Edmonton.
Janicki brings a wealth of experience that spans over his 10 years as a professional footballer, including earning “Defender of the Year” in 2010 with the Vancouver Whitecaps . The Midwest Pro Soccer combine is looking forward to Janicki taking part in the inaugural event and sharing his story with the next generation of ‘Future Pros’.
About the Midwest Pro Soccer Combine
The inaugural Midwest Pro Soccer Combine will take place on Monday, December 19th & Tuesday, December 20th at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, Michigan, USA. The combine will accept 60 talented players aspiring to sign a professional contract for the 2017 MLS, NASL and/or USL season. Along with scouts and intermediaries from North America a handful of international representatives will be in attendance as well.
