Brandon Bye Confirmed for Q&A
Brandon Bye, coming off of his second season with the New England Revolution, is arguably one of the top commodities in MLS with midwest roots. Bye was drafted as the 8th overall pick in the 2017 MLS Super Draft, signing with the Revolution in February of 2018. He has since gone on to make 55 appearances for the Revolution over the 2018 - 2019 seasons and featured in the 2019 Playoffs. Now under the guidance of legendary coach Bruce Arena, Bye is primed for his 3rd season in 2020.
Bye’s pathway to MLS has similar ties to many of the players attending the 2019 MPSC. Originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan he attended Western Michigan University where he scored 22 career goals as a winger. During his summer seasons he had stops with 3 different NPSL clubs in an effort to stay sharp and gain exposure. After his final season at WMU his commitment to his fitness, willingness to adapt to a new position and his eagerness to prove himself were the attributes that caught the Revolution's eye. Hopefully the same will be true for many of this year’s MPSC players.
Bye will be the feature player during the combine’s Pro Player Q&A on Thursday. Everyone will benefit from hearing his journey and all he has learned during his career in MLS.
