Cicerone Attending Combine as Marquee Guest
The 2018 Midwest Pro Soccer Combine is pleased to announce that Russell Cicerone will be the marquee guest, participating in the Q&A portion of the combine. Previous professionals who have attended include Lalas Abubukar (Columbus Crew), Tyler Pasher (Indy Eleven) and Greg Janicki (former Indy Eleven). This portion of the event is often the most insightful for the combine participants as Cicerone will field questions and share perspective on his journey in the professional game.
Cicerone has close roots to the MPSC as he grew up down the street in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. He went on to an outstanding college career at the University of Buffalo and locally with the Michigan Bucks. After his final season in 2016 he was selected in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft by the Portland Timbers. He signed his first professional deal with the Portland Timbers 2 of the USL for the 2017 season. 2018 saw Cicerone make a move back to the midwest, joining FC Cincinnati. 2019 looks to be another big year for Cicerone as he has recently signed with St Louis FC.
