Gustavo Fernandes is a center back that moves very well across the back line. Fernandes slides across the pitch well and can cover ground with a sliding tackle. He can also take the ball off an attacker with a quick one-touch tackle and oftentimes can get the ball to come off the attacker last to win possession for his side. He is a goal-scoring threat off of set pieces and is willing to have a go from outside the box as well. He is set to graduate from Stony Brook having spent the last two seasons there.
