Lawson, an All Horizon League 1st Team Selection, is a creative attacking player who can play as a 10, 7 or 11. He has the ability to bring players into the game via intricate passing and the awareness to play players into goal. Lawson completed his college eligibility with Oakland University in 2015, where he guided the Grizzlies to a berth in the NCAA National Tournament after winning the Horizon League.
Lawson has a wealth of amateur experience as well, including time with the Des Moines Menace, Detroit City FC and the Michigan Stars. He was also named to the Jamaican U17 National team during his youth career.
